Joyful Noise Speech Therapy was established in 2023 to serve children and families of Lincoln, AL and neighboring communities. We offer a wide range of evidenced based speech and language services to meet each client’s individual needs. Our goal is to help your child find their voice and make a joyful noise!
SERVICES
SPEECH
Articulation disorders and phonological delays impact the way a child produces certain speech sounds. This often times results in decreased intelligibility and inability to be understood by others.
LANGUAGE
Language skills are important for oral and written communication. We help children improve their expressive language (the ability to express themselves) and receptive language (the ability to understand spoken language and directions) via spoken words or AAC (augmentative and alternative communication).
FLUENCY
We teach strategies to people who stutter to help them manage their disfluencies and feel less anxious when speaking.
SWALLOWING
Feeding or swallowing difficulties are also called dysphagia. SLPs help children with dysphagia improve their ability to swallow or chew food.
SCREENINGS AND EARLY IDENTIFICATION
We offer screenings at local daycare centers to help identify children who may be experiencing a speech or language delay. Studies have confirmed that early detection of speech and language difficulties, and subsequent treatment at the youngest possible age, can make a dramatic difference in ensuring positive outcomes for young patients.
ADULTS
We have extensive experience in evaluation and treatment of communication disorders affecting the adult population including aphasia, dysphasia, dysarthria, cognition, and voice.
MEET THE OWNER
Lauren Rodgers, M.S., CCC-SLP
Lauren is a 2009 graduate of Lincoln High School. She received her degree in Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Alabama in 2014, and became a board certified SLP in 2015. She is licensed in the state of Alabama and holds numerous certifications including VitalStim, LSVT, and Beckman Oral Motor. Lauren has over ten years of experience evaluating and treating pediatrics and adults in the field of speech-language pathology.
We are an in-network provider for BCBS of Alabama and Alabama Medicaid.
Superbills are provided as a courtesy to all private pay clients.
